 Oregon Wild's Western Field Office seeks an administrative assistant to carry out a variety of duties related to our public forest programs.  The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities needed to support the Eugene staff’s efforts to protect and restore Oregon’s public lands, as well as working on various special projects as they come up. 

Oregon Wild has been working to protect and restore Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife, and waters since 1974. The non-profit organization has a proven track record of success as a statewide leader in Wilderness and roadless area protection, old-growth forest protection and restoration, and upholding environmental laws that protect clean water and wildlife.

 

Position Responsibilities:

·  Manage database of activities and associated deadlines related to public lands;

·  Maintain and organize files and correspondence related to public land activities;

·  Assist with outreach activities in the Eugene area as needed;

·  Administrative office support as needed.

 

Requirements:

*  A strong personal commitment to conservation and public lands;

*  Experience working on PC computers, using Filemaker Pro or other database, Microsoft Office platform, and other basic computer skills;

*  Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;

* Knowledge of forest issues is a plus.

 

Salary & Benefits:

This position is part-time, 10-hours a week to start, based in Eugene, Oregon.  Hourly wage is $12.00 for a qualified candidate.
