About the Hike:

Old growth noble fir and western hemlock surrounding a small basin lake at the headwaters of Eagle Creek.

Getting There:

To reach the Wahtum Lake Trailhead, drive east of Portland on I-84 to Hood River and the Highway 35 junction. Follow Highway 35, following signs to Odell, then Dee. At Dee, cross the Hood River, and turn left, following signs, then veering right 5 miles from Dee where a sign points to Wahtum Lake. Follow paved Road 13 for 4.2 miles, then go right on paved Road 1310 for 6 miles to the trailhead.
