A chance to hear a Veery and take down barbed wire fence at the same time!

This is the third Glaze Meadow barbed wire fence removal workday put on by Oregon Wild, the Juniper Group Sierra Club, and the East Cascades Bird Conservancy .  Please come and help.

This part of the fence is truly a wildlife hazard.  On a recent outing, Oregon Wild staff discovered a dead baby elk tangled up in the fence wire. A truly heartbreaking sight.

That's why we need your help to get this fence out. Bring your friends and family and please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested in helping.

Those interested in birding will begin the morning at 7:30 a.m.  The fence removal will begin at 8:45 a.m. We will meet to bird and pull fence near where the Veery is heard along the highway a little before you get to Black Butte Ranch.  Last year there were Ruffed Grouse, Veery, Red-eyed Vireo and Northern Parula all found in the area.

Please RSVP with Tim Lillebo at tl@oregonwild.org.
