Enjoy this free presentation by Dr. Eric Forsman regarding this charasmatic ancient forest dweller.

Dr. Eric Forsman, nationally recognized forest biologist, will present on the elusive red tree vole, a forest mammal that lives its life in the upper canopy of Douglas-fir forests. A major food source of the northern spotted owl, the red tree vole is just beginning to be seriously studied by Forsman and graduate student James Swingle. Their canopy research on this critter has helped us better understand the role the vole plays in Oregon's westside forests.
