"Our Community, Our Future" - a one-day discussion of the Wilderness effort in Oregon's south central Cascades.

"Our Community, Our Future"

Join host Umpqua Watersheds for an exploration of the issues facing the Wilderness movement in the Umpqua National Forest and beyond.

Oregon Wild staff Erik Fernandez and Doug Heiken will present along with other guest speakers covering topics such as:

  • Wilderness & Salmon Strongholds
  • Why Do We Need Wild Places?
  • The Economic Benefits of Wilderness
  • Beyond the Politics of Wilderness
  • Wilderness & Climate Change
  • Wild Umpqua Wilderness Proposal
  • Marine Wilderness

Plus: Keynote Speaker Bill Bradbury

Event is free (donations accepted).
