Where: Wallowa-Whitman National Forest

How Much: $250 (non-refundable)

Join Oregon Wild for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Eastern Oregon’s wolf country. This three-day excursion takes participants deep into the heart of the territory of the Imnaha pack in hopes of seeing or hearing Oregon’s gray wolves. With only 14 wolves in the whole state, it’s a longshot, but exciting opportunities await campers, such as a tracking workshop with an experienced tracker, and meetings with a local rancher and ODFW wolf biologist Russ Morgan. We’ll also enjoy a scenic hike and drive through the Zumwalt Prairie and Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.

Photo by Jim DutcherThis trip is only open to Oregon Wild members and costs $250. Those who want to come but are not members are encouraged to become a member and sign-up. The fee covers lunches, on-site transportation and wolf expertise.  Proceeds also support Oregon Wild's critical work to protect native wildlife and the wildlands on which they depend. Participants will be responsible for camping gear & personal items, breakfasts, 1 potluck dinner item, and 1 dinner (at a local eatery). Participants will also be responsible for transportation to Enterprise; Oregon Wild will help set up carpools.
