Oregon Wild takes you into the heart of wolf country for a chance to see and hear Oregon's recovering wolf population on a rustic trip in beautiful Wallowa County.
Wallowas, Hells Canyon, and Wolves, Oh my!
Join Oregon Wild for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience eastern Oregon’s wolf country while camping out on the edge of the Zumwalt Prairie.
This four-day excursion takes participants deep into the heart of Oregon’s Imnaha Pack territory in hopes of seeing and hearing Oregon’s gray wolves. With only 17 wolves in the whole state, it’s a long shot, but exciting opportunities await campers, such as a tracking or photography workshops, meetings with biologists, ranchers, & other local folks learning to live with
wolves. We’ll also enjoy scenic hikes and drives through the Zumwalt Prairie and Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
