Distance: 6.4 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,500 feet
Leader: Wendell Wood
Location: Lewis and Clark Mount Hood Wilderness
(Please leave the next day-- Tuesday, May 31--open in case the hike is postponed due to significant rain.)
Angels have wings, but you don’t so you’ll need to strap on your hiking boots for this climb to the picturesque summit of Angel’s Rest.
Join Oregon Wild Naturalist Wendell Wood for this slow-paced, all day hike along this popular trail marking the western end of the proposed Columbia Gorge Wilderness area. Bring your camera and your best pair of lungs.
Along the way to the top we’ll learn to identify the area's fantastic plants and wildflowers. Plant lists of flowers to be seen will be provided. Space is limited to 15 participants.
