Soak in views of Oregon scenery and Washington wildflowers on this Members Only trip in the Columbia Gorge.
Level: Moderate
Distance: 4.0 miles
Elevation Gain: 450 feet
Leader: Wendell Wood
Location: Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge (near White Salmon)
(Please leave the next day--Sunday, April 19--open in case the hike is postponed due to significant rain.)
Some of the best views of Oregon are from the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge! Join Oregon Wild Naturalist Wendell Wood on this popular trail for a slow-paced hike to take in the area’s oak woodlands, outstanding basalt cliffs and amazing array of wildflowers. We’ll enjoy views of Oregon’s Memaloose Hills and the proposed (and protected any day now) McCall Point Wilderness area.
A complete plant species list of wildflower species to be seen will be provided to help hikers identify their favorite floral display. Space is limited to 15.
