Gaze up at towering old-growth forests and look down upon the shimmering waters of the Clackamas River on your way to breathtaking Pup Creek Falls. (Members Only)
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: approx 7.0 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 500 feet
Leader: Sean Stevens
Location: Mount Hood National Forest
This river trail will take us along the recreational haven that is the Clackamas River corridor. Giant Douglas fir trees line the south side of the river canyon as rafters and kayakers play in the rapids below.
At times, this dense and wet forest will make you forget how close you are to civilization. Portions of the trail were recently protected as Wilderness. As you hike, you’ll have the comfort of knowing that future generations of Oregonians will experience this forest just as you saw it.
At our terminus, we’ll gaze up at the multi-tiered cascading Pup Creek Falls.
Participants limited to 10 people.
Reminder: This is a "Members Only" outing. Your membership must be
current at the time of your reservation. If you are unsure if your
