Distance: 2.5 miles roundtrip
Elevation Gain:  500 feet
Leader: Sean Stevens
Location:  Mount Hood National Forest

Join Oregon Wild in visiting one of the most impressive stands of old growth in the Northwest.

We’ll start out walking through a plantation, which, while not super-impressive, makes the featured majestic old-growth even more awe-inspiring. We’ll hike down through this plantation a bit and end up on a level valley floor near the Clackamas River. In this area, we’ll see some monstrous old-growth trees. Some bushwhacking may be involved.

Hike is for Oregon Wild members only. To become a member and find out more about membership benefits, click here. Currently, the hike is full, but spots often open up as the date approaches. Sign up for the waitlist below.

A great spot for lunch

Overheard...

"I am a long time member of Oregon Wild/ONRC/OWC. The acronym has changed a couple times over the last 35 years, but the mission is as important as ever."
