This challenging hike in the Columbia Gorge takes you up a steep trail on the Washington side of the river. The top of Dog Mountain is due north of the "Gorge Face" unit of the new Columbia River Gorge Wilderness.

Hikers are also treated to wildflowers and lush forest.  Not for the faint of heart, but sometimes you've got to hike high and hard to see the splendor on the Oregon side of the Columbia.
