The Blue River watershed outside of Eugene offers up some spectacular old-growth – if you know where to look! The hike up many-pinnacled Tidbits Mountain offers some of the most beautiful forests around – huge Douglas-fir, hemlock, and Noble firs.

The forest is wonderful in and of itself, but the reward for wildflower lovers are the rocky outcrops and slopes above the forest, where there are views in every direction and dozens of wildflower varieties explode in color.
