Hike wildflower-covered hills at a botanist’s pace with Oregon Wild Naturalist Wendell Wood.
Level: Moderate
Distance: 4.0 miles
Elevation Gain: 500 feet
Leader: Wendell Wood
Location: Columbia River Gorge
(Please leave the next day-- Tuesday, April 21--open in case the hike is postponed due to significant rain.)
Springtime in the Columbia River Gorge means wildflowers aplenty and with Wendell Wood as your guide, you’ll be able to name them all in no time. Head out on the trail with a complete plant species list (provided by Oregon Wild) and see what you can find.
Memaloose Hills is located further east than most other Gorge hiking destinations which makes it a great place to dodge the crowds that flock to Multnomah Falls. Space is limited to 15 participants.
