If you enjoy the Gorge on two feet, imagine what fun you could have on two wheels. Bring your bicycle and join Wendell Wood on a leisurely bike tour along the Columbia River.

Distance: 9.2 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 250 feet from east to west

(Please leave the next day-- Sunday, May 29--open in case the hike is postponed due to significant rain.)

Bring your own bike and join Oregon Wild’s Wildlands Interpreter Wendell Wood for this slow-going ride with numerous stops (along the initial uphill portion) to identify and admire the lovely gorge wildflowers.

Enjoy open meadows, and conifer forest habitats where they transition from pine and oak woodlands. Plant list provided. Please leave the next day open in case the hike is postponed due to significant rain. Allow at least an hour & 15 minutes driving time from Portland.  State Park day passes are available for $5 per vehicle at the trailhead.

RSVP for the hike. (Oregon Wild members ($6) and non-members ($9). All proceeds from hikes support Oregon Wild’s campaigns to protect wildlands across the state.)
