Distance: 7.7 mile loop
Elevation Gain: 1,500 feet
Leader: Ani Kame’enui
Location: Roaring River Wilderness, Mt. Hood National Forest

Welcome to one of Oregon's newly designated Wilderness areas! This hike takes us through new wilderness, forested plateaus, and the more temperate Cache Meadow. Cool your feet in the lake before catching a perfect glimpse of Mt. Hood and three Washington peaks.

Now Wilderness, the once and former Roaring River Roadless area was the largest unroaded expanse on the Mount Hood National Forest yet to be protected. The River is home to salmon and steelhead as well as steep sloped that provide beautiful views absent the clear-cuts that are so prevalent in other parts of the Northwest.

Space is limited. Currently, the hike is full, but spots often open up as the date approaches. Sign up for the waitlist below.
