Join Oregon Wild for an easy hike through old-growth forests, and enjoy views of the beautiful Salmon River, near Mount Hood.

Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness Area
(Moderate, 6 miles, 500’ - 700’ elevation gain)

Explore old-growth forests along the Salmon River and  scenic vistas of the river valley.  This canyon was once considered as an alternative to the current Highway 26 and was designated as Wilderness by Congress in 1984. Bring your camera and enter your pictures in the Oregon Wild Outdoor Photo Contest
