Once free of the busy Gold Lake Sno-Park, an adventure into the wild areas near Willamette Pass offer beauty and solitude. This snowshoe trek into the Maiden Peak Roadless Area includes hiking through a lovely forest, skirting frozen lakes, and (if clear!) a view of Diamond Peak.

Snowshoes are not provided. REI and Berg's rent snowshoes in Eugene for less than $10. (Rent them on Friday because they don't open until 10am.)
