They call it Mirror Lake, but you won't be able to see your reflection this time of year. Hop into some snowshoes and make your way to some of the best views of Mt. Hood. This popular hike is both easy on the lungs and easy on the eyes.

Located in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Beginner level with 800 foot elevation gain.

Test your winter legs on the Mirror Lake trail.  Join Oregon Wild for a trek through the snow to a popular spot close to Portland.

Wondering where you can find these clever contraptions known as snowshoes, check out REI or Oregon Mountain Community (OMC). You can rentMirror Lake Snowshoers snowshoes at either location and OMC offers discounts for Oregon Wild members and snowshoe trek participants.

Now you have no excuse not to sign up for a winter adventure with Oregon Wild--other than your nagging fear of the sasquatch.

Do you know...
