Join us on our first snowshoe hike of the new year! The Twin Lakes snowshoe hike is a relatively easy trek located on the southeast flank of Mt. Hood. The area is part of the Lewis and Clark Wilderness Proposal.
Located in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Beginner level. Some elevation gain.
Start the new year off in the mountains with a beginner snowshoe trip along the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail in the proposed Twin Lakes Wilderness area.
If you've never been on a snowshoe hike before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try. If you are a veteran snowshoer, bring along a warm beverage and show the newbies how it's done.
Carpools will depart from Portland.
Dog ate your snowshoes? Don't worry, REI and Oregon Mountain Community (OMC) rent snowshoes and OMC will offer Oregon Wild members and snowshoe trek participants a discounted rental rate.
