Summer wildflowers make this hike a memorable one as you walk along the famed Pacific Crest Trail to a viewpoint of Mount Hood.
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 2.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 500 feet

Location: Mount Hood National Forest
Join Oregon Wild’s Wildlands Interpreter Wendell Wood for a slow-going exploration through a lovely forest to wildflower-covered meadows and rocky outcrops as you traverse the Pacific Crest Trail to a scenic overlook of Mount Hood and the headwaters of the Sandy River, and then a second short trip up the PCT from Lolo Pass. Plant identification and appreciation will be the emphasis of this trip with a plant list provided.
