Thank you!

Thank you for taking action to stop wolf kill bills being considered during the 2012 legislative session.

Wenaha Male Wolf

...but there is more to do.

  • WHAT: Public hearing on wolf kill bill
  • WHEN: Thursday, February 9th, 1:00pm
  • WHERE: State Capital Building, Hearing Room D. 900 Court St. NE, Salem, Oregon 97301
  • WHY: Most Oregonians value wolves and other native wildlife, but a vocal minority want to see wolves killed. They'll certainly be at the public hearing. If wolf supporters don't speak up, this wolf kill bill could become law and lead to the killing of endangered wolves and set a dangerous precedent for other native wildlife.

Fighting ill-conceived wolf kill bills in the Oregon legislature has become an annual affair in Salem. With your support, we've managed to hold our ground over the past few years.

Thank you for taking action today. You told Oregon's leaders not to undermine environmental laws and make it easier to kill wolves. Current legislation is moving fast and we need to fight it now!

The bill has been scheduled for a public legislative hearing and we hope you'll consider attending and speaking up for wolves.

Contact wolves@oregonwild.org if you have questions, but we hope we'll see you there:

Overheard...

"The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased, and not impaired, in value."
