- Hunt for mushrooms beneath towering old growth groves on Larch Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge. This hike is for Oregon Wild members only.

- Hike through proposed Wilderness additions to the western most end of the Salmon Huckleberry Wilderness Area.

- Visit old growth groves on Herman Creek in the Columbia River Gorge. (This hike is for Oregon Wild members only)

Oregon Wild Wednesday: Ascending the Giants (Hawthorne Lucky Lab, Portland, from Oct 22, 2008 06:00 PM to Oct 22, 2008 07:00 PM)
- They find big trees, climb them, measure them, and then work to protect them. Come hear Will Koomjian and Brian French of Ascending the Giants talk about their adventures in the forest canopy.
